A 17-year-old 61-year-old grandmother is married to her 24-year-old boyfriend despite receiving negative comments about their huge age difference. Gulan McCain, 24, and Cheryl McGregor, 61, from Rome, Georgia, had an intimate wedding on September 3.
While Cheryl is often mistaken for the Quran’s grandmother, she says they are madly in love with each other.
The couple live-streamed their wedding on their TikTok account. The 61-year-old bride walked down the aisle in a white wedding dress with a lace-up corset. Her hair is loose curls. Quran wore a cream suit and dyed his hair and beard for the occasion.
“We livestreamed our wedding on TikTok. We had our wedding in Tennessee. My best friend was there, and after that we went to the Bones BBQ Joint and had a really good meal,” LADbible quoted the Quran as saying.
The couple met in 2012, when Gulan was 15, working at a fast-food restaurant run by Cheryl’s son Chris. They hadn’t been in touch for years, but reconnected on November 4, 2020, when Quran saw Cheryl at a supermarket checkout.
The Quran proposed to Cheryl on July 31 after becoming a couple in April this year.
“I decided to make Cheryl my wife for many reasons. She was beautiful, elegant, strong, noble, honest and compassionate.” Cheryl was shocked because she didn’t know I was going to propose to her, but it made her It feels special. She was never married, but she married,” the Quran said.

Three of Cheryl’s seven children approve of the couple’s relationship. The family of the Quran supports their union.
However, the couple received some negative comments about their relationship. “We got positive and negative feedback. The worst thing is that I use them to make money. Hate everything you want and we still live a normal life,” the Quran added.
