Aleit Swanepoel dead and obituary, kykNET presenter cause of death

Aleit Swanepoel, founder and chairman of Aleit Group, has passed away. He is 47 years old.

The event organizer and wedding planner is best known for his TV series Tyd Met Aleit on kykNET (DStv 144), which ran for 6 seasons.

“It is with great sadness that we inform you that our founder, Aleit Swanepoel, has passed away,” Aleit Group said in a statement on Instagram.

The statement continued: “Alette passed away in his sleep and while there is no further information to share at this time, we ask that you keep his family in mind as they go through this difficult time.”

“Alright was an innovator, perfectionist and creative genius whose personality and dedication will be greatly missed.

Swanepoel has worked in the South African hospitality industry, working in various hotels and managing a 5 star restaurant in Stellenbosch. He worked for a wine company and PR before founding Aleit Wedding and Event Coordination in 2002.

By 2006, it had changed its name to Aleit Group, responsible for wedding planning and bridal styling, including Aleit Munich as the first international branch, corporate events, an online store and the Aleit Academy offering event coordination courses.

His first book, 100 Words About Weddings, was published in 2007. He left behind an adopted daughter, Caitlin.
