In addition to developing one’s skills as a psychotherapist, it is imperative that each client be treated with dignity, respect, and that their individualism should be observed.
Alex Martinez, Twitter’s “Lead Client Partner” was recently caught revealing an ableist anti-Autistic viewpoint. Stating that because Elon Musk has Asperger’s, that Elon is “special needs” and therefor can’t be taken seriously. Regardless of what you think of Elon; I have long felt that Twitter was a toxic place that did not stand up to Anti-Autistic views or abusive language, such as people telling you “You shouldn’t have been born” or “you should have been aborted”. It’s also been rather enlightening to see some very wealthy groups come out of the shadows to oppose this acquisition. There is no side of this issue that isn’t “rich”. 3/3 “If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you do, you’re misinformed”. -Mark Twain.
The thing with the Alex Martinez situation is that, yeah it does expose @Twitter but the shit talk was something he assumed was private. Most of us have said hell of a lot worse than some shit about Asperger’s in private so..
