Beryl Gray is dead, Obituary 2021 – cause of death

Beryl Estelle Gray, or Gram Gray as it is known, died on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was born in Exeter on April 8, 1932, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Freese) Perkins. Gram studied at Exeter School and Colina Union College.

She has worked at Eastland Woolen Mill for 37 years. After retiring, she likes to help grandchildren, read many books, go out to eat, and ride long distances with her sister Belva and friend Avis Adams, never knowing where they will end.

Beryl was born in Windsor, Ontario 81 years ago. Although her parents had plans for her, everything changed when she was awakened by the love of her life and quickly eloped. Our wife and mother are kind and caring people, always worried about how other people around her are doing, and she never wants to be noticed. She is a lively lady like her mother, her vitality and sense of humor are contagious.

We know that now she is re-recognizing all the friends and family who passed by before her, which means that heaven is very noisy, because the Carl family is always a party together. As a wife, you are Dad’s best friend. As a mother, you instill the best qualities in your children, and as a grandmother, you show them selfless love. We will miss you very much, but know that you have been watching us.

Gram is survived by 2 daughters, Meredith Foss and friend, Everett Hibbard, and Marilee and husband, Steven Hartley; daughter-in-law, Judy and husband, Ron Richards; grandchildren, Richard and wife, Lorrie Foss, Kelly Foss Hite and partner, Peter Flood, Christine and husband, Stephen Hennigan, Shawn and wife, Julie Richards, Kimberly and husband, Adam Friend, Heather Richards, and Nicole and husband, Hunter Fitts; great-grandchildren, Ricki-Lynn and husband, Nathan Johndro, Jordan Richards and partner, Mazey McKeen, Joshua and wife, Courtney Braley, Dylan and wife, Tiani Hawthorne, Kayla and husband, Justin Temple, twins Kelsie and husband, Rob Pratt, Kylie Richards and fiancé, Zach Talmadge, Victoria and Ryan Friend, Madisyn and Jillian Hartley, Bryan and wife, Melissa Henigan, Nathan Henigan and fiancée, Jaclyn Hawn, Kristen Henigan, Dillon, Madison and Braydon Fitts; great-great-grandchildren, Jhett, Finn and Hawk Johndro, Garrett Richards, Harper and Noah Braley, Valeria and Ivy Hawthorne, Simon Temple and Emmett Henigan; a sister, Belva Howes; brother, Charles and wife, Clara Perkins; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gram was predeceased by her husband, William “Bill” Gray; son, James Gray; great-granddaughter, Mandi Foss; son-in-law, Arthur Foss; sisters, Barbara Herring and Beatrice Doody; and gram’s companion of 10 years, Earl Hartley.

The graveside service will be held at 2 pm. Saturday, October 23, at Morse Point Cemetery in Corinna. Instead of flowers, donate to Sarah’s Maine House to commemorate her at 346 Main Road, Holden, ME 04429. Arranged by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
