Bruno Falcon was born on June 10, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Before pop, posing, breaking, hip-hop and even disco, there were lock-ups. Don Campbell invented it.
July 23, 1995 | Jeff Spurrier’s last contribution to the magazine was about expatriates in the Central American art colony of San Miguel de Allende.
One of the people knocking on her garage door was Bruno Falcon, Pop ‘n’ Taco, one of the few Hispanic dancers with a name. He was born in East Los Angeles but attended Poly High School in Long Beach and was often called. “People can’t believe there’s a Mexican that’s going to blow up. You’re going to challenge me before school or party or high school prom. They’re going to be right in front of you, right in front of you.”
A low-key choreographer, Falcon has indeed entered a lucrative career through dancing. He has worked with La Toya, Janet and Michael Jackson as a creative consultant on Michael’s Dangerous tour and is now organizing a hip-hop show for House of Blues. While hip-hop is full of bragging rights and false claims, Falcon is quick to give Don Campbell a nod: “If it wasn’t for him, I don’t think hip-hop would have happened. He opened the door for it.”
