Cause of death, Veteran journalist Badi Muhsin has dead

Veteran Swahili news anchor of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Badi Muhsin, has passed away. In 2020, the famous TV anchor underwent kidney stone surgery. Muhsin worked for the National Broadcasting Corporation under the late President Daniel Moi in 1980 and retired in 2002.

However, he made a comeback at KBC in 2020. As most interviews reveal, his enthusiasm for broadcasting is immeasurable. He has never been stingy to devote all his efforts to the National Broadcasting Corporation. “You must be willing to learn and prove yourself. You must also be highly self-disciplined, because your work makes you the focus of public attention, and your work outside reflects your station,” Buddy said in an interview with Parents Magazine. And certainly working at the station taught him how to be disciplined and flexible.

In 2011, the retired President Mwai Kibaki awarded him the Great Warrior Medal (OGW) award in recognition of his long service in the media field. In addition to winning the runner-up of the KBC Best Swahili Translation Award in 1993, Muhsin was also named one of the best Swahili news anchors by the famous writer Wallah Bin Wallah in 2010.

He was born in a Muslim family in Kitu County, the eldest son of a family of eight children. His parents are from Mombasa, which explains to a certain extent why he is proficient in Swahili.

During his teenage years, Buddy performed well in drama and played the leading role in various school performances. At a very young age, he was so good and confident in public speaking that he was assigned to make announcements at school events.
