APSA mourns the passing of Professor Andy Gilbert AM, one of the most influential pharmacists and leaders in the use of quality medicines in our country, who also received the APSA Medal 2012. Agree Andy. Andy’s transformational research on #QUM, #agedcare continues to improve the lives of communities, esp the most vulnerable. Andy inspired, mentored and developed many in the #pharmily who continue to reap benefits from his generous guidance and good grace.
Through the announcement on social networks, DeadDeath learned of Andy’s death on August 23, 2021. In a spirit of mourning for the deceased, the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased shared their sad news through the hours of social networks.
There are many regrets and condolences on the social media calendars of affected friends and family. Death always brings deep pain and a deep, inexplicable feeling of loss. We pray and miss for the families who have lost loved ones and the friends who must be grieved by the news of his death.
