Victoria Nwanyocha Ajiyi Elonsi, wife of the former first lady of Nigeria and former military head of state Johnson Umonaquin Ajiyi Elonsi, has died at the age of 98.
Sad to learn of the passing of the wives of two great Nigerian leaders, Lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi, wife of former military Head of State (Jan-July 1966) Gen. Thomas Aguiyi Ironsi, and lady Adamma Michael Okpara, wife of former Premier of the Eastern Region Dr. Michael Okpara, both aged 97. May their souls rest in perfect peace. I offer my deep condolences to the Ironsi and Okpara families. These women went through a lot in support of their great husbands.
