Dar es Salaam. Bongo Flava artist Diamond Platnumz has set another standard in East Africa after becoming the first Tanzanian artist to perform at the Grammys Global Spin.
Airing late on February 7th on the Grammys Recording Academy’s official YouTube channel, the singer performed his new song “Gidi” with a band and beautiful models in a heavy and calm voice.
Diamond’s latest performance is not only the first artist from Tanzania to receive the honor, but also the first East African artist to receive the honor.
The WCB Records boss has never been nominated for a Grammy, but with this featured performance, he may open the door to representing the country at the upcoming 64th Grammy Awards.
