Released in Japan in December last year, the last volume of the manga by Kimetsu no Yaiba brought as one of its main highlights an extended ending, which adds several new pages to the last chapters of the work, building a more consistent outcome and which has been very well received by fans.
So, as we will talk about details about this ending, from now on the text will be full of spoilers from the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga!
First, it is worth clarifying that these additional pages do not change the ending we saw in chapter 205, but rather complement the journey of the main characters, showing how they went about life after Muzan’s defeat.
So, in addition to having more moments of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke and Zenitsu living together, we also see the fate of some Hashiras, as Tengen happy beside his three wives, Giyu and Sanemi with more serene expressions, and Senjuro, Kyojuro Rengoku’s younger brother, next to his father.
Likewise, the transition from history to the present day occurs in a smoother way, first showing the grandmother of Sumihiko, the descendant of Tanjiro and Kanao, telling him that his great-great-grandfather and great-great-grandmother really fought and defeated demons many years ago. Then, Sumihiko still appears dreaming about her predecessors, and wondering what kind of stories they would have to tell.
Finally, after a few pages confirming who is a descendant of whom and showing those who reincarnated, we have the epilogue of the story along with the author’s final letter, which conveys the message of “live life in the best possible way”.
About the future of Kimetsu no Yaiba, in addition to his film, which was licensed in Brazil by the cinema network Cinemark, this year we will have the return of anime with its second season, but still without a debut date.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba can be watched officially and with Portuguese subtitles on Crunchyroll.
