Drew Gibbs is dead – Obituary 2021 – cause of death

Ramapo coach Drew Gibbs passed away on Tuesday morning. The school notified students and faculty of Gibbs’ death in an email, stating that Gibbs died from complications of “aortic dissection and surgical complications.”

According to multiple sources close to the football project, Gibbs collapsed during football training on Monday night and was taken to the Valley Hospital for emergency surgery. Gibbs has always been the backbone of the North Jersey football coaching world, and his reputation and resume are hard to match.

Since 2001, he has been the coach of the Green Raiders and led them to seven division championships. He has extensive connections across the country, and his alumni include former NFL star wide receiver Chris Hogan.

The Green Raiders have a current record of 10-1 and are scheduled to face the Northern Highlands in Group 1 and Group 4 in the Northern Highlands on Friday night. The state of the game is now in an indeterminate state.
