Understanding the humoral response to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is essential to improve diagnosis, treatment, and vaccines. In-depth serological analysis of 232 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients in 2019 and 190 former COVID-19 era controls using VirScan revealed that there are more than 800 epitopes in the SARS-CoV-2 proteome, including 10 Epitopes that may be recognized by neutralizing antibodies. The pre-existing antibodies in the control recognize SARS-CoV-2 ORF1, while only antibodies from COVID-19 patients mainly recognize spike proteins and nucleoproteins.
