911 caller says ‘our friend just got knocked out’
Akron police released a recording of a 911 call in which a young man initially gave the wrong name for the location of the incident, then quickly corrected himself.

“We’re at the I Promise school in Akron, Ohio,” he said. “Our friend just passed out. We don’t know what to do.”

Additional sounds can be heard in the background while the dispatcher talks to the caller. She asked if there was any quarrel.

“Yes,” the caller said. “It’s all right now. It’s cool now.”

The dispatcher asked if the caller’s friend was unconscious and breathing.

The caller asks someone, “Is he breathing?” and then tells the dispatcher that his friend is breathing. She asked how old his friend was and got 17. The call was then hung up; the dispatcher returned the call, but the call went to voicemail.
