Jakub Sawicki studied music at the University of the Listaháskóli Islands and the Berlin University of the Arts. He received a fellowship from Cusanuswerk and participated in social projects in Greenland and India. As part of his research in physics, he worked on organ pipe synchronization at St. Petersburg State University. In addition to his work at the Berlin Cathedral, Jakub Sawicki deepened his study of organ improvisation with Professor Wolfgang Seifen.
He has served as choir and orchestra conductor and taught improvisation at the Berlin University of the Arts. He is also involved in silent film and improvisation projects. In 2010 he was commissioned by Theodor Heuss Academy to produce music for an international film. Jakub Sawicki participates in master classes and competitions and performs nationally and internationally. In addition to his musical activities, Jakub Sawicki continued his scientific research and received his Ph.D. Reply. nature. 2019 Ph.D., Technical University of Berlin.
His work is supervised by professors. Dr. h.c. Dr. Eckehard Schöll, Institute of Theoretical Physics. His research interests include synchronization phenomena, nonlinear delay differential equations, complex system modeling, and neural dynamics.
