Coleman, John, 239 west 230st, Bronx, New York. Suddenly on June 18, 2021. Survived in the company of his beloved wife Una, loving parents Alice (nee Feeney) and John Coleman. His sister Irene and husband Pat, Mary and husband Bobby, Liam brother and wife Carrie, Pat and wife Betty, and brother Mike.
His Aunt Kitty, Aunt May, Aunt Maggie and his Uncle Owen. The nieces Siobhan, Godchild Brenda, Alicia, Noreen, Cara, Katie, Rachel, Hannah and Aisling. Nephew Sean, Matthew and godson Eoin.
Cousins from the Coleman and Feeney families from the United States. Sister-in-law Phyllis and Linda, niece Allen. Other family members from the Coleman, Fini, and Hunter families from Ireland, as well as cousins from Australia and Hawaii also survived.
John was born at the Jewish Memorial Hospital in Inwood on a snowy day on December 22, 1962. He attended Bronx Science High School and John F. Kennedy High School. He proudly served in his country in the United States Air Force. He has worked in the construction industry for many years and has been a Verizon technician for the past 20 years.
John is a loving and caring husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and a good friend of many people. In his 28-year sobriety plan, he moved many people and supported others, which is an important part of his life, and he is happy to be part of this community of shared experiences and sincere friendship. John has fond memories and gratitude for his childhood friends who grew up in the Bronx, and kept in touch with them throughout his adulthood.
John is passionate about life and his family is very important to him. He is especially concerned about the happiness of his elderly parents and stay with them as much as possible. John is at his best in nature, likes running, biking, hiking, and spending time on the beach. He likes various types of music, travel, and follows Irish sports with his father.
