College Park Athletic Booster Club player Josh Okere passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 5, 2022. The University Park Athletic Boosters Club confirmed his death via an online post. He died after a long illness.
“We are saddened by the loss of one of our own varsity basketball players, Josh Oakley,” the University Park Athletic Boosters Club announced.
“Josh has bravely battled a rare long-term illness and has been out of school since late March. Josh was recognized as a University Park graduate at the May 26 ceremony, and we extend our condolences to his family and to knowing him Deepest condolences from everyone. Rest in peace Josh. @joshokere_.” 💜🏀💜
