Kirsi Kunnas dead, Art scholar and author at the age of 96 – Cause of death

ART scholar and author Kirsi Kunnas died at the age of 96. The Kunnas family district told STT about the matter.

The municipality was best known for its children’s poems, including Tiitiäinen’s Fairytale Tree (1956) and Tiitiäinen’s Poetry Toy (2002) collections. He also wrote adult lyrics and translated works by Lewis Caroll and Tove Jansson, among others.

The municipality received the title of Academician of Art in 2009 and the Aleksis Kivi Prize in 2012.
