Kristina Igorevna Asmus (born April 14, 1988) is a Russian theater and film actress. She is best known for her television role on the medical sitcom The Intern. She was named the sexiest Russian woman in 2010 by Maxim magazine.
The actress was born on April 14, 1988 in the city of Korolev, Aries. Her real name is Kristina Myasnikova, and she inherited her surname from her German grandfather. Father – Igor Myasnikov, mother – Rada Myasnikova. The family has four children and Asmus has sisters Karina, Olga and Ekaterina.
At first, the Myasnikovs lived modestly in a communal apartment, and later in a two-room apartment in the “Khrushchev”. Recalling her own childhood, the star said there were times when all she had in her fridge was a jar of horseradish and they had to live with it and wait for their parents’ wages.
Kristina Asmus, whose life as a child was associated with gymnastics, became a candidate for the master of sports. Her parents wanted to see her become an athlete, and the girl herself dreamed of becoming an actress, a desire born after the TV series “Wild Angels” with Natalia Aureiro.
And sister Karina, who is 4 years younger than the actress, also followed in Christina’s “sports footsteps”. Today, she is an international sports champion and coach.
The family expressed their understanding of their daughter’s request. During her school days she studied at the Drama Studio, where she had roles in the plays “Chalk” and “Here the Dawn Still…”.
After graduation, Asmus entered the Moscow Art Theater Studio School to study Konstantin Laykin’s courses. Nikita Efremov, Pavel Priluchny, Ivan Makarevich, Aristarchus Venes, Karina Andolenko, Grisha Dobrygin, Anya Chipovskaya studied with her. Christina said in an interview that she lost track of her background and was expelled from the university.
Displeased, the girl asks for a chance to be a free listener in the course, but Rakin advises her to succeed on her own, which doesn’t save Asmus. This conversation with Lakin divides Christina’s life into a front and a back.
The next two years of Asmus’ biography were periods of constant searching and testing, in which the artist had to show character in order to overcome life’s difficulties. The girl got a job in two theaters, one of which she even had to sell tickets, and also tried to create her own agency to organize holidays.
In 2008, she entered the M.S. Shchepkin Theater School (Boris Klyev’s course), graduating in 2012. There, the actress immediately began to reveal herself and found herself the leader of the class. Currently, Kristina is performing at the Moscow Drama Theater named after M.N. Ermolova.
