Kyle Rittenhouse shooting video – drone footage of Kyle Rittenhouse shooting man dead

On Tuesday, the jury of the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial watched drone footage showing Rittenhouse shooting Joseph at close range on the night of the protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin last August Rosenbaum. The video was zoomed in and slowed down by forensic imaging experts, and played when the prosecutor had completed his statement of the case.

After a week of testimony, some witnesses seemed to support Rittenhouse’s self-defense claims. Rittenhouse is a former young police trainee from Antioch, Illinois. On the night in question, he took an AR-style semi-automatic rifle and a medical kit to Kenosha in response to the militia’s call to protect businesses from protesters who supported the Black Life Issues Movement.

The 18-year-old young man was charged with two counts of homicide, one for attempted murder and the other two for recklessly endangering safety because he shot near others. He was also accused of possession of dangerous weapons by minors because he was 17 years old at the time. He has pleaded not guilty.

Drone footage shown in court on Tuesday showed that 36-year-old Rosenbaum followed Rittenhouse, then Rittenhouse suddenly turned and shot. When Rittenhouse ran around a car, Rosenbaum proved to have fallen. Dr. Doug Kelly, a forensic pathologist at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, said Rosenbaum was shot by someone within 4 feet. He said Rosenbaum’s hand was “close to or touching the end of the rifle.”

Kelly said Rosenbaum was shot four times: in the groin, hand and thigh, when he faced Rittenhouse, and then in the back. Prosecutor James Klaus called it a “homicide shooting.” Moments later, the then 17-year-old Rittenhouse killed the 26-year-old Anthony Huber.

He hit Rittenhouse with a skateboard in a video of an onlooker. Rittenhouse also wounded Gaige Grosskreutz, a protester and volunteer military doctor who carried his gun.

On Monday, Grosskreutz told the jurors that he was armed because he “believes in the Second Amendment”, but he did not shoot Rittenhouse because “I am not that kind of person… and definitely not who I want to be.” Kenosha detective Ben Antaramian testified that the authorities learned that someone had recorded a drone video. The video was shown on Fox News, but the HD version was not available until Friday.

The prosecutor also showed an autopsy photo of Huber’s body on a gurney and a close-up photo of a gunshot wound to his chest. Rittenhouse turned his head, lowered his eyes, and sighed deeply. In the controversial trial, the prosecutor portrayed Rittenhouse as a bloody instigator.

Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger said last week: “The evidence will show that hundreds of people have experienced chaos and violence on the streets, and the only person who killed anyone was the defendant Kyle Rittenhouse.”

Rittenhouse’s lawyers stated that he acted out of self-defense, implying that he was worried that his rifle would be used against him. Mark Richards, Rittenhouse’s chief attorney, said: “Others who didn’t see the [Rosenbaum shooting] attacked [Rittenhouse] like animals on the street.”
