Mead’s 55-year-old Larry Michael Hoagland died on July 23, 2012 due to a very rare and aggressive cancer. He was born on June 26, 1957 in Denver, Colorado, the son of William and Phyllis (Wolf) Hoagland. He graduated from Niwot High School in 1975.

Larry works as a general contractor in the construction industry. He started building houses in the 1970s. He opened a general contracting business, Hoagland Construction, and built many custom homes and commercial properties, including Vale View in Mead and many beautiful homes in the surrounding area.

Larry often participates in children’s sports and activities, and he participates in every high school and college game. For many years, he was also the football coach of his children’s team and other youth events.

Larry participated in the volleyball league and many competitive doubles lawn volleyball tournaments. He also likes to show cattle nationwide and has many championships. He runs a small hay business, and he is very proud of it. Larry enjoyed his family’s vacation to Mexico, Hawaii and the Colorado Mountains.

Larry and Tarry (Smith) married at the Colorado Department of Health on February 15, 1985. The survivors include his wife Tari and his children Landan and Kelly Hoagland (Kelly’s boyfriend, Blake Nigren of Johnstown), and his daughter Tyler Gentry, from San Diego, California .

His mother, Phyllis Hoagland from Longmont, and his brother, Bill of Westminster, survived.Before Larry died, his father William and his brother Steve died.The cremation has been entrusted to Hao Morgue and Cremation Service Company..
