The Kawartha Lakes City Police Department is mourning the death of Constable Mike Broderick. In a press release issued on Saturday, November 6, the department stated that Officer Broderick died on Friday, November 5.
According to the police, he left his wife and daughter. Officer Broderick joined the police station in April 2009 and currently works in the uniform department. “Mike is a very dedicated official who serves the community with professionalism and compassion,” said Chief Mark Mitchell. “His death is heartbreaking for all of us.
Our hearts are with his family, friends and relatives, and we will continue to support them through this tragic time.”
It also provides support to service members. At the request of the Kawartha Lakes Police Department, the Ontario Police Criminal Investigation Division will conduct a death investigation together with the coroner’s office. At this time, the family of Officer Broderick demanded privacy as they grieved over the loss of a loved one.
