Chapter 56 of Boruto’s manga was full of revelations, and Naruto talked more about the secret of Code’s power and what makes it extremely powerful.

Before we continue, it is worth remembering that we will have spoilers from the latest chapters of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga. So in case you haven’t seen it yet, it’s good to take a look before you continue with the text.

Naruto talks about the secret of Code’s power

After Isshiki’s death, Vila da Folha began to “lick his wounds”, as the battle not only claimed the life of the nine-tailed fox, Kurama, but also stole Sasuke’s ability from Rinnegan with the loss of his eye . Jigen may no longer be a factor, but Code has promised to continue Jigen’s legacy while also vowing revenge on those who took his life.

With Amado now part of Vila da Folha as a result of his truce, Kara’s former scientist explains why Code is so powerful. Much like Kawaki, Code was genetically altered in an attempt to make it the perfect container for Otsusuki, but unfortunately for Jigen, the experiments were unsuccessful.

Although Code still retains the same power as Kawaki, he is unable to harbor Karma as Boruto and Kawaki could. As Amado explains, Code’s experiments also have some unique materials placed on his body for unexpected reasons:

“Almost all of Kara’s members have had their bodies remodeled to strengthen them, but it’s just the opposite in Code’s case. He placed limiters to verify his formidable strength, in order to avoid weakening Jigen’s position as a leader. ”

Needless to say, Code’s promise to avenge his master’s death means rough seas ahead for Vila da Folha, especially with Kurama and Rinnegan now being a thing of the past for Konoha.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the direct sequel to Naruto Shippuden, both in the anime and in the manga.

In this new story, we accompany Boruto, son of Naruto. Together with their teammates from Team 7, they live new adventures and interact with old and new characters from the franchise.

Although the anime is still telling the story of young Boruto, it has some good bows, bringing Naruto and Sasuke back, and stories where the young man is the main protagonist.

The first phase of the anime tells the graduation of Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki in the ninja school, as well as his first missions. After that, we have the Chunin Exam, which adapts the film Boruto: Naruto the Movie and shows how Boruto obtained Karma.

After that, we have another series of arcs that tell the development of the members of Team 7, and that gradually introduce the Kara Organization, a great antagonist of the series.

Currently, Boruto is adapting the third major arc of the manga, with the presentation of Kawaki, Kashin Koji, Jigen and other remarkable characters in the story.
