Rapper Oh Trapstar has died in a horrific car accident at the age of 22, The Sun reports.
The Miami Police Department exclusively announced that Lil Pump’s cousin was one of three occupants of a house that was struck by a speeding vehicle Wednesday morning.
Ernesto Enrique Carralero, also known as OhTrapstar, was one of three passengers — two men and a woman — killed in the May 25, 2022 crash.
“Basically, at 5 a.m., we got a call for a car accident — a vehicle that rolled over and hit the house,” Miami Police Department officer Michael Vega told The Sun exclusively in the bedroom of the house.
“There were three passengers in the car.” “The man and woman were ejected at the scene and pronounced dead.”
“A third man [not OhTrapStar] was partially ejected and pronounced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital.”
“Two people in the bedroom were taken to the same hospital with minor injuries,” he added. “It appears that speed was a factor in the accident,” the official continued about the horrific incident.
The passenger was 23-year-old Bayle Pricilla Bucceri. The other man, 22-year-old Candido Miguel Barroso-Nobarse, was a passenger who was taken to hospital and was later pronounced dead.
OhTrapstar and the male passenger are residents of South Florida, while the female passenger is from Oklahoma. Officer Vega said it was unclear who the driver was at the time or whether alcohol was involved.
As one local media reported, “the driver lost control and crashed into the house” before “the car overturned and was engulfed in flames”.
Three occupants have died when the car caught fire as firefighters attempted to rescue them, 7News reported. Resident Jacner Surlin, 23, was at home with four other people at the time of the crash – two of them in the bedroom where the vehicle struck.
“It was the wall that woke me up,” he told 7News. “When it landed on me. I fell asleep.” The house where the rapper was driving was located on North East 82nd Street, a side street in Miami.
OhTrapstar regularly updates its SoundCloud with new products and uploads rap videos to its Instagram page, which has more than 100,000 followers.
He is probably best known for his 2017 single Choppa, which has 10 million views on YouTube.
As the rapper is currently in Colombia, Lil Pump has yet to comment on the tragic death, according to his Instagram.
Oh Trapstar, who is also the cousin of his former manager Lil Ominous, made an emotional post on Instagram today.
“I disagree with a lot of the things and people you’re with. It pulled us apart. But ultimately I intend to forgive you when the time comes,” he wrote.
“Now that you’re gone, I can’t tell you that I accept your apology. I can’t tell you that we could have gone bigger with 1%. It hurts to see you go. It’s very sad to know that you tried to contact me to apologize. Guilty.”
Other fans have since been shocked by the news on Twitter, with one writing: “Going so fast…”
Another tweeted: “RIP ohtrapstar Choppa used to be my song.”
