Police shot and killed a 20-year-old man on Bloor Street in Toronto on Saturday night.
Investigators said they were called to the south side of Bloor Street, east of Church Street, at 10:52 p.m. after they opened fire near a restaurant.
When they arrived, they found Olivier Dundas with at least one gunshot wound.
Rescuers tried to take life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, before taking him to the hospital’s trauma centre.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators said the three male suspects were last seen running along the south side of Bloor Street towards Sherbourne Street.
Toronto police have confirmed a man died in hospital after a shooting in downtown Saturday night.
Olivier Dundas, 20, of Toronto, was shot near Bloor Street East and Church Street. Police were called to the scene shortly before 11pm.
When officers arrived, they found Dundas and tried to save his life, police said at a news conference on Sunday.
Toronto paramedics took him to hospital without any vital signs, where he was pronounced dead. He is the city’s sixth homicide victim of the year.
Police said the three male suspects were last seen running east towards Sherbourne Street on the south side of Bloor Street East.
