Raju Srivastava was taken to AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi on August 10 after suffering a heart attack at the hotel gym. The 58-year-old stand-up comedian was rushed to the AIIMS emergency center at about 10.45am on Wednesday and underwent angioplasty. He is currently receiving ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The comedian is directed by Dr. Nitish Naik, Professor, Department of Cardiology, AIIMS. Fans and well-wishers are praying for his speedy recovery and hope his health will improve.
Shekhar Suman posted a new health update on Raju Srivastava. While Raju was on a ventilator, Shekhar Suman shared some positive news about his health on social media. Shekhar tweeted: “Good news…Raju handshake and shoulders…Doc said things look a little positive. Your prayers worked. Keep praying.” A season of judges in which Raju is a contestant.
Meanwhile, PTI news agency said that Raju Srivastava was in critical condition and that he was being watched closely. Before that, his “brain didn’t work” and his health had not improved. However, Shekhar’s latest update to Raju’s “Moving Your Fingers and Shoulders” will bring relief to the comedian’s fans and family.
Raju Srivastava has been very active in the entertainment industry since the 1980s. In 2005, he became a household name after appearing on the first season of the stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. It was judged by Shekhar Suman and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Raju has acted in Hindi films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa (Remake) and Aamdani Athani Kharcha Rupaiya. He also starred in Big Boss season 3. He is the chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Committee.
