Two cast members of the Netflix series “El Elegido” were killed and six other members of the production team were injured in a car accident Thursday near the Mexican city of Moulay, Baja California Sur.
The death of the actors and cultural managers Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar ‘Paco Mufote’ was confirmed by the neighboring Ministry of Culture of the state of Baja California and the government of the victim’s state.
The accident occurred during production of the series when the van carrying the camera crew overturned after going off the road in a desert area.
Two cast members of the Netflix series “The Chosen One” were killed and six others injured or injured after the van they were in crashed near Mulrag on the Baja California peninsula.
Local media reported the accident on Thursday and said the van overturned after it veered off the road in a desert area. At the time, the crew had apparently been working in the nearby Santa Rosalia area.
The Baja California Department of Culture announced Friday that Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar had passed away.
