Another New Jersey congressman, Russell Heller, was shot dead in his car a week after Congresswoman Eunice Dwumfour died.
Police were called to the PSE&G facility in Franklin Township just after 7 a.m. Wednesday in response to allegations of a shooting there.
Heller, 51, was found dead in the parking lot of his car, according to the Somerset County Attorney’s Office. In addition to his 11 years of experience as a senior sales manager for the company, he is said to have worked as a consultant for the Milford community in Hunterdon County.
In an interview with NJ.com, Milford Mayor Henri Schepens offered his condolences to the town, saying: “Milford Borough Council is deeply saddened by his death and our hearts go out to his family.” Understand that he died because he always seemed so alive. Never before in the history of the community has there been such an event. Therefore, we feel very uncomfortable. “
