Santan Dave is death? What’s happened? Is dead or still alive?

This time, Santan takes stock of everything that happened, from his great historical achievement to some of the less palatable aspects of fame. The rapper also takes a moment to look outside, unravel everything from the occasional street violence to the ills of late capitalism, and share his thoughts on masculinity, faith, wanting what’s best for his mother and wanting him Friends’ thoughts.

David Orobosa Omoregie (born 5 June 1998), also known as Santan Dave or simply Dave, is an English rapper, musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Dave has gained recognition for his socially conscious lyrics and wordplay and is one of the UK’s most famous rappers.

Dave released his first extended debut single in 2016 after a string of successful singles, including the grime song Thiago Silva with AJ Tracey. That same year, Canadian rapper Drake premiered a remix of Dave’s song “Wanna Know” on OVO Sound Radio. Dave released his second EP Game Over in 2017.

In 2018, his political song “Questioning Time”, which addressed criticism of the British government, won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song. That same year, he released “Funky Friday” featuring Fredo, which became his first UK singles chart and his first certified platinum album.

Dave’s debut album Psychodrama (2019) was critically acclaimed and debuted on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the UK’s most played rap album in its first week. It won the Mercury Award and Album of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards. He made his debut in the third season of the Netflix series Top Boy in September 2019.

In July 2021, Dave released his record-breaking second album, We’re All Alone in This Together, which was a huge success and his second UK first. On March 3, 2022, he released the single “Starlight”, which became his longest single and his first UK single.
