Artist manager Scott Koenig has passed away. Several eulogy posted on social media by his clients and friends indicated that the cause of death was Covid-19.
Koenig is highly regarded as a caring and interesting person throughout the industry. According to his evaluation on Discogs, for many years, he has cooperated with Fear Factory, Divine Heresy, Biohazard, Spineshank, Chimaira, Daath, Sworn Enemy, The Agonist, Prong, Devil You Know, Madball, etc.
Scott is a native of Staten Island, New York. He spent the early stages of his career in New York before moving to the Los Angeles area. During his tenure at Def Jam Records, he was praised for introducing producer Rick Rubin to Slayer and Trouble.
As an artiste manager, he was widely regarded as an integral part of the success of Fear Factory recently at his own company King Artist Management.
