As the other half of Bollywood’s most popular music duo Vishal-Shekhar, Shekhar Ravjiani is a music composer and singer who has been in the industry since 1999. Shekhar was born and raised in Mumbai, initially engaged in advertising work, but finally decided to follow his passion for music and participated in SaReGaMaPa in 1997.

As a trained classical singer, Shekhar collaborated with Vishal Dadlani in 1999, and the two have been responsible for some of the best Bollywood music in recent years.

After starting his musical journey, Shekhar’s first film credit came from the 1999 romantic film Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, and then he and Vishal created music for countless movies such as Jhankaar Beats, Shabd, Dus, Bluffmaster, Golmaal , Om Shanti Om, I hate Luv Storys, Break ke Baad, Student of the Year, Balak Palak, Chennai Express, Sultan and Befikre, etc.

In addition to being a composer and singer, Shekhar is also a reality show judge, associated with shows such as SaReGaMaPa in its two versions, and one of the judges of The Voice Kids India. In 2016, he also debuted with Sonam.
