A video has surfaced showing part of the attack. You’ll see a man punching Tekashi incessantly while the rapper does his best to protect his face.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was brutally beaten by a group of men at a gym in South Florida… with injuries so bad the controversial rapper was taken to hospital by ambulance.
6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, told TMZ … the rapper was in a sauna at a Los Angeles fitness center on Tuesday when he was suddenly attacked by multiple people without warning.
Lazzaro said 6ix9ine tried to fight off the fighters, but there were too many of them, exhausting him before fleeing. Lance noted that 6ix9ine did not provide him with security at the time of the attack.
Gym staff notified the manager immediately after hearing the commotion. Police and an ambulance were then called to the scene and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
We got a picture of Tekashi from the hospital, and you can see the injuries on his face – cuts and swelling. We’re told he also suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and back.
The next step, Lazzaro said, is that he plans to call the FBI to make sure 6ix9ine gets the protection it apparently needs. Recall that he was released early from federal prison after colluding with authorities to put several of his gang members behind bars.
It was not immediately clear whether the gym attack was related to Tekashi’s cooperation.
