In addition to being one of the most recognized works in the world of anime and manga, Naruto has an equally extensive history, which continues to be expanded more and more now with the events of Boruto. Thus, it becomes practically inevitable that in some moments the plot has left questions unexplained, and in other situations even wrong in contradicting the logic of its own concepts.
With that in mind, we have prepared a list of the top 5 script holes in the Naruto franchise:
Obito never suffered the consequences of the Mangekyo Sharingan
Although the Mangekyo Sharingan is one of the most powerful dojutsus in the Naruto franchise, this evolution of the Sharingan also has a high cost, as the user gradually loses his vision. However, as much as this effect was seen in Madara, Itachi and Kakashi, for some reason Obito never suffered these consequences, even using Kamui quite often.
Continuing on the theme of dojutsu, one of the most well-known script holes in Naruto’s history is related to Nagato’s Rinnegan, or rather, the reason for it not having been destroyed. After the end of Pain’s attack arc and Nagato’s death, Konan took his partner’s body to be buried next to Yahiko, but even though he knew Rinnegan’s power, she simply didn’t destroy the dojutsu, which would soon be stolen by Obito
Sasuke surviving Deidara’s final attack
As surprising as the outcome of the fight between Sasuke and Deidara is to say the least, there is no denying that the solution found for the young Uchiha to survive was somewhat forced. In case you are not remembered, after Deidara launched his final attack, Sasuke was practically without chakra, and yet he was able to summon Manda to protect him, something that theoretically would require a large amount of chakra.
In order to protect his real identity, Naruto received the surname of Uzumaki, referring to his mother’s lineage, instead of Namikaze, which was his father’s surname. However, as much as this justification makes sense, the Uzumaki clan was also equally well known, and in the past several nations came together to destroy the Hidden Village of Redemoinho, the clan’s former home.
The Obito Plan
Finally, going back to a puncture in the script starring Obito, his plan to invade the Meeting of the Five Kages and start the Fourth Ninja World War, just doesn’t make any sense. Theoretically, since Obito’s goal was to extract the Tailed Beasts from Naruto and Killer B, it would be infinitely simpler if he just left to attack the two jinchurikis in their respective villages, instead of having to face the alliance forces of all five countries.
Boruto and Naruto’s animes can be watched in full with Portuguese subtitles through Crunchyroll.
