“My first SOUR album is now available everywhere,” Rodrigo announced. “Each song is so personal and close to my heart. Sharing it with people is the most special thing I have done in my life. Thanks to everyone who made this album possible. ”
Rodrigo also took the opportunity to thank her manager, Kristen Smith, for believing in her and supporting her. He also thanked all his staff and the staff of his label.
“Thanks to Matt Morris, Emerson Redd, John Janick and Sam Ribak at Interscope for their support and tenderness with my vision.” As are his co-writers such as Casey Smith and producers, Alexander 23.
“Lastly, thanks to Dan Nigro for doing all this work with me in his garage hahaha. His undeniable talent and unwavering faith in me have forever changed me as an artist and as a person. Whatever happens with the album, I am very grateful to have been able to work with all these incredible people, ”acknowledges Rodrigo.
SOUR is the singer’s long-awaited debut album, released on May 21, 2021. According to Rodrigo, this is a very personal album that explores the experiences of a typical 17-year-old girl. The title comes from the bitter emotions that young women of her age experience such as anger, jealousy, love and pain.
The three singles that were previously released as “Drivers License”, “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U” have reached the top spots of popularity.
“I hope you enjoy the 34 minutes and 46 seconds in which I spill my guts called SOUR. Thank you for helping me turn all my unhappy feelings into one of the best moments of my life, ”Olivia told her fans.
