I bring you some sad news Tom Dees, Longtime News Reporter at FOX13 Memphis has passed away today. Please him and the family in your prayers. Tom Dees has worked at FOX13 in November 1995 which he had been with the station for more than 27 yrs.
Tom’s mom is a retired teacher and his dad is a retired US Air Force navigator, making him an Air Force kid!
Tom was born in Kokomo, Indiana and lived there for about a year before moving (first) to Hawaii and then to California. From there he moved to mainland Japan. Atlanta while his father was in Vietnam. Back to California for elementary school, Okinawa, Japan, for junior high school, and then back to Slidell, Louisiana, outside New Orleans, for high school.
He attended college at Mississippi State, graduating in 1987.
Tom is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish.
2013 marks Tom’s 25th year in the TV news business!
He said he was lucky to work with the best and current best at FOX13, from whom he continues to draw inspiration.
