It is quite obvious to say that Naruto’s decisions influence the series as a whole, since he is the protagonist of the series, right?
But it turns out that in the case of Naruto things are a little different. There are some moments when Naruto, without even realizing it, ended up giving Akatsuki a boost without him or any other character in the series noticing.
This is not necessarily due to the fact that it has been manipulated or something. In this case, let’s just talk about how some actions that had Naruto’s participation / decision, either directly or indirectly, ended up helping Akatasuki to follow through with his plans.
Made Kabuto decide to overcome Orochimaru
Naruto’s “Talk-no-jutsu” is by far the most powerful of his abilities, and it was through it that he ended up inspiring Kabuto to work so that one day he would be strong enough to overcome his mentor, Orochimaru.
This caused Kabuto to make a decision that had horrible consequences for the ninja world, during the moments that preceded the Fourth Great Ninja War: he “absorbed” Orochimaru and honed his skills to the limit, which allowed him to use Edo-Tensei so intensely.
I would never have been able to kill Sasuke
Something that gives someone an advantage is knowing how to predict their opponent’s movements. Akatsuki knew that Naruto would never be able to kill Sasuke and for that reason, Obito knew that by manipulating the young Uchiha and putting him against Konoha, he would put a huge challenge in the hands of Naruto.
That’s because Sasuke would not be easily beaten unless Naruto went all out on him. It would be necessary for Naruto to face the fight as if he intended to go to the last consequences to win, and if he didn’t, Sasuke would have a better chance of winning.
So, Obito had a plan in his hands with many chances to succeed.
Naruto’s birth was the cause of Minato Namikaze’s death
We know that Naruto was not to blame, but it was only thanks to his birth that the entire disaster related to Kurama’s invasion of Konoha happened.
Obito knew that Kurama’s seal would weaken when Kushina gave birth, and so he carefully planned the actions of that night. In the end, Minato Namikaze managed to save the day and prevent Obito’s plans, but this ended up costing his life and putting Konoha at risk, since the Vila lost one of its most brilliant ninjas that night.
