The Florida-born Cummings began her career in the industry in 2013 and earned her IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) professional card in 2016, Generation Iron revealed.

She competed in the bikini section of the IFBB Texas Pro 2021.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of IFBB Pro Stacey Cummings,” the Texas Chapter of the National Physique Board said.

“Stacy is more than just an athlete, she is the mother of two beautiful children, a daughter, a sister and an inspiring friend.

“She will be missed dearly but will always be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.”

When news of Cummings’ death broke, dozens of people had already paid tribute.

Cummings’ friend and fellow IFBB Kelly Lynn posted online: “What a beautiful woman. I can’t believe it. We did three shows together in 2020 and I was at the Nationals when she turned pro. How crazy. Only 31 years old.

“It’s incredibly sad that so many people have died recently.”

IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Betty Pariso and her husband Ed said: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our own IFBB Pro Stacey Cummings. She was a beautiful person inside and out.

“Ed and I have had the pleasure of working with her many times in our studio over the years.

“She was always one of the first to help. We will all miss her. Our prayers are with her family.”

Cummings also co-owns Flex Fitness 24/7 in McKinney, Texas.

The athlete’s death comes just days after Arnold Classic champion Cedric McMillan passed away.
