Melanie Olmsted was born in 1968 and was raised by adoptive parents Reed Howard and Janet Corbridge. Olmsted also shared a photo of her beloved horse, Mahogany, on her Facebook profile. “This beautiful, amazing girl has been with me since college and recently celebrated her 37th birthday – my non-equine friend is over 100 – and she’s still doing great!” Olmsted and Mahogany remained together for another three years before the horse died at the advanced age of 40.
