@EPPOLICE are responding to a shooting at the CieloVista Mall. Public is being asked to avoid the area. I’m on my way to the area and provide any additional information.
El Paso police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night in the food court of the Cielo Vista mall, officials said.
A large group of police officers are looking for the shooter in the mall. The shooting happened around 5:00 pm. Police asked the public to stay away from the area.
Cielo Vista Mall is a shopping center located in El Paso, Texas, United States, owned and operated by Simon Property Group. Located on the east side of El Paso, near Interstate 10 and Hawkins Avenue, it has five anchor stores and 117 specialty stores under four brands. It is the largest of three malls in the metropolitan area; the second is Simon’s former sister property, Sunland Park Mall.
The mall has a total gross floor area of 1,244,987 square feet (115,663 square meters) and is listed as a national shopping center by the International Council of Shopping Centers.
