Oregon School shooting today, Douglas county active shooter news now

Schools all over Southern Oregon are on lockdown after Hoax active shooter calls. Several accounts have surfaced of an active shooter at various schools stretching from Medford to Roseburg. Multiple reports indicated an active shooter at schools ranging from Medford to Roseburg. Sheriff Hanlin has asked units to go to Roseburg High School to assist several parents who were trying to pick up their children.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office urged parents to be patient and not to overcrowd schools. It has now been established that the incident was a false alarm. The police arrived at each school to confirm that the reports were false. As a result, all Douglas County schools are currently closed.

Many educational institutions have received reports of shootings and injuries, but there is reason to believe these reports are unfounded and likely from the same caller.

Additionally, similar false claims have been corroborated elsewhere in southern Oregon.
