Remi Lucidi dead, Daredevil known for high-rise passed away video

A French daredevil has died after falling from the top of a skyscraper he just climbed locally in Hong Kong.

Remi Lucidi, 30, has a history of climbing towers of all kinds around the world, be they buildings or more humble structures like cranes, bridges, pylons and even transmitters. Lucidi, known as “Remi Enigma” on social media, has reached the 68th floor of the 721-foot-tall apartment building in the Diligand Building in Hong Kong’s upscale Mid-Levels.

A maid saw the young adventurer knocking on an attic window, hoping to get back inside, but fell to her death before help could arrive. Last Thursday, the night he fell to his death, Lucidi arrived at the building at 7:30 p.m. and told a security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor. The resident he named has since denied knowing the thrill-seeker, and it was just a ploy by Lucidi to get around security.

Later, surveillance footage from the building showed Lucidi exiting the elevator on the 49th floor and walking up the stairs to the 68th floor.

The roof door was locked, but Lucidi forced it open, determined to take another photo from the roof. Many photos posted on Instagram show him clinging to the spire of a tall building, and when he fell, he may have tried to do the same.

His body was not found until it returned to the surface. Many photos posted on Instagram show him clinging to the spire of a tall building, and he may have been trying to do the same when he fell.
