Danelo Cavalcante dead and obituary, convicted murderer escapes from Pennsylvania prison

The authorities have reported that a man who was found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend in public by stabbing her has fled from a prison in Pennsylvania.

Authorities have reported a manhunt for 34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante, who managed to escape from Chester County Prison located in Pocopson Township at around 8:50 a.m. on Thursday.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office provided information that suggests that Cavalcante was seen on Wawaset Road in Pocopson Township at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Thursday. It is important to note that the office has declared Cavalcante to be “extremely dangerous,” and this warning should be taken seriously.

During a press conference on Thursday, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan informed journalists that the individual in question is someone who has nothing left to lose, and there appears to be no limit to their wickedness.

On August 16th, Cavalcante was found guilty of first-degree murder after he fatally stabbed his ex-girlfriend 38 times while her two young children looked on in horror. Ryan reports that in 2017, Cavalcante had a warrant out for his arrest in Brazil for another alleged murder.

According to Ryan, last week, the defendant received a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the deadly act of stabbing. In a matter of four weeks, he was scheduled to be relocated to a state correctional institution.

Ryan expressed uncertainty regarding the extent of the perpetrator’s potential actions. “Given that he has already committed a murder in plain sight, and in the presence of the victim’s children, it is possible that he could engage in even more heinous acts,” Ryan stated.

Officials are currently on the hunt for an escaped inmate who fled from a hospital in Virginia.
The means by which Cavalcante made his escape is currently being investigated, as stated by Howard Holland, the temporary warden of Chester County Prison, in a statement to the press.

According to Holland, when they realized that a prisoner was missing, they immediately implemented their established procedures. This involved securing the prison and executing a specialized headcount to verify that only one inmate was unaccounted for.

According to his statement, measures were taken to secure schools and alert those living in close proximity to the penitentiary.

To track down a suspect, multiple law enforcement agencies such as the Chester County detectives, Pennsylvania State Police, and the U.S. Marshals Service have been mobilized with the aid of various resources including canine units, drones, and helicopters.

In regards to the case at hand, both the U.S. Marshals and Chester County have banded together to offer a total of $10,000 as a reward.

According to Ryan, Cavalcante has relatives residing in Chester County’s Phoenixville area. After the 2021 stabbing incident, he had assistance from both his family and friends in evading capture before eventually being caught in Virginia. Presently, there are concerns about him receiving aid.
