Stef Caputo obituary and dead, ballet journey in Wilmington death

Stefanie Caputo embarked on her ballet journey in Wilmington, DE, under the guidance of Pasha and Kristina Kambalov at First State Ballet Theatre. Her dedication and talent earned her recognition in 2002 as a Youth America Grande Prix Top 12 World Finalist in the Senior Division in New York City.

Initiating her professional career as a trainee with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Stefanie’s passion for ballet continued to flourish with engagements at Ballet Theater of Maryland, Alabama Ballet, and Arova Contemporary Ballet. Throughout her career, she had the honor of portraying lead roles, including ‘Swanhilda’ in the full-length production of ‘Coppelia’ and the title role in ‘Paquita.’

Stefanie has been privileged to interpret works by renowned choreographers such as Matthew Neenan, Terrance Orr, Victor Plotnikov, Roger Van Fleteren, and Jennifer Medina. Her artistry and skill have graced the stage with captivating performances.

In 2013, Stefanie achieved academic excellence, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Committed to nurturing the next generation of dancers, she currently serves as Adagio Dance Company’s Junior Ballet Division Assistant Director and imparts her knowledge to students within the Intensive Ballet Program. Stefanie continues to inspire and contribute to the world of ballet with her artistry and commitment to dance education.
