Daniel Robert Middleton (born 8 November 1991), better known online as DanTDM (formerly TheDiamondMinecart), is a British YouTuber, gamer, musician, author and actor known for his Known for his video game reviews. Its online video channel covers many video games, including Minecraft, Roblox, and Pokémon.

His channel has been listed as one of the best YouTube channels in the UK. In July 2015, he was listed as one of the highest-rated YouTube streamers in the world. He has won several Kids’ Choice Awards and set Guinness World Records for his playing and performance. In 2017, Middleton topped the Forbes list of YouTube’s highest-earning stars, earning $16.5 million (£12.2 million) a year. As of November 2021, his YouTube channel has more than 25.7 million subscribers, 18 billion video views and more than 3,500 published videos.

Daniel Middleton was born on November 8, 1991 in Aldershot, England, the eldest of two siblings. His parents divorced when he was a child. He attended Northampton University, where he studied music production.

In 2012, Middleton founded the gaming channel TheDiamondMinecart. He changed his channel name to TheDiamondMinecart // DanTDM and DanTDM on December 12, 2016. He currently produces videos from his home studio in Wellingborough. Middleton’s content is primarily aimed at children.

He released a graphic novel titled Trayaurus and the Magic Crystal on October 6, 2016. [The novel was No. 1 on the New York Times hardcover picture book bestseller list for 11 consecutive weeks. He was a celebrity guest at the Cheltenham Literary Festival and went on a book tour that included visits to parts of the UK and New York City. In 2017, he toured the US and Australia.

In 2017, starred in the online drama “DanTDM Creates a Big Scene”, starring himself and other social media artists and actors. The series premiered exclusively on YouTube’s subscription service, YouTube Red, on April 7, 2017. The show “follows DanTDM and his group of animated friends as they try to keep their live show going.” and ran for six episodes.

In 2019, Middleton was ranked 41st on the Sunday Times UK Influential 100 list, which also estimated Middleton’s net worth at £25 million. His online video channel initially focused on the popular game Minecraft; as of January 2020, he dedicates a portion of his channel to playing random video games, community discord challenges, and reaction videos. Middleton also maintained a Minecraft Hardcore series until his death in-game, which was an integral part of his channel.

On March 24, 2021, Middleton launched a channel called DanTDM Shorts, dedicated to Minecraft videos under 5 minutes.
